What is SLES?
SLES (School leaver employment support) is the NDIS funding provided to school leavers to enable them to build their skills and confidence to transition from education to employment.
If you do not have NDIS funding – we can also offer this program as fee-for-service
Interactive, fun, engaging employment training
Our pre-employment training is visual and interesting!
We focus on topics that will prepare you for the workplace and help you thrive. We invite guest speakers from different organisations to come and speak about “a day in the life” of their role in their company.
We believe that the perfect job match for internships result in the most positive experience and value towards supporting you in your career journey. Once we meet with you we will try our best to find the internship that is perfectly matched to your talents, interests and goals.
Each week involves one day pre-employment training and one day hands-on practical work experience where participants have the opportunity to put their employment skills into practice.
This is a 12 week program, and we run back to back programs throughout the year. This is a two day per week program. At the end of the 3 months, participants can choose to roll onto the next 3 month program, or cross over to our Aspect Capable Employment Mentoring Program for support to find paid employment.
We are offering this service in various locations in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Funding and cost
Both School leaver Employment Support (SLES) and Core supports (access to community) can be used for this program.
